Ruiyuan Machinery · Lab Drying Series
Turning a solution, emulsion or suspension into dry powder is supposed to be the fastest part of product development — not the bottleneck. Ruiyuan’s two laboratory spray dryers, the RY-1500 and the RY-LPG-5, cover the full bench-to-pilot gap with seconds-level drying, precise process control and honest, repeatable results.
Key figures: drying time 1.0–1.5 s (RY-1500) and 5–15 s (RY-LPG-5) · PID temperature accuracy ±1 °C · typical powder recovery ≥95%.
01 · Why laboratories choose spray drying
Spray drying exposes every droplet to hot air for only a few seconds, which is why it is the standard route for heat-sensitive formulations — dairy, enzymes, plant extracts, flavors and bio-actives that would degrade in a tray or vacuum dryer.
02 · RY-1500 Laboratory Spray Dryer — see every droplet dry
Two-fluid atomization · Water evaporation 1.5 L/h

RY-1500 — transparent borosilicate glass drying chamber and cyclone · evaporation 1.5 L/h
Built around a transparent borosilicate glass drying chamber and cyclone, the RY-1500 lets you watch atomization, drying and powder separation in real time — invaluable when a formulation is new and every observation is data. The glass resists high temperature and dilute acids and alkalis, and every component dismantles quickly for cleaning between batches.
Atomization is handled by a two-fluid nozzle with interchangeable orifices, so droplet size is tuned by air pressure and feed rate rather than by swapping the entire atomizer. A built-in oil-free air compressor keeps the machine self-contained, and an automatic de-blocking device keeps the nozzle clear during runs with viscous or particulate feeds.

03 · RY-LPG-5 Laboratory Centrifugal Spray Dryer — production atomization at pilot scale
High-speed centrifugal atomization · Water evaporation 5 L/h

RY-LPG-5 — SUS304 drying chamber with sight-glass door and cyclone separator · evaporation 5 L/h
The RY-LPG-5 uses a high-speed centrifugal disc atomizer — the same atomization principle found on full-size production towers. Feed is thrown from the spinning disc into a fine, uniform mist that meets co-current spiral hot air in a SUS304 stainless steel drying chamber, drying in 5–15 seconds before powder is separated in the cyclone.
Because the atomization mechanism mirrors production centrifugal dryers, pilot runs on the RY-LPG-5 scale up with far fewer surprises — a key advantage for dairy, plant extracts, ceramic slurries and other feeds that will eventually run on disc-atomizer production lines. A sight-glass access door on the chamber lets you monitor the process, while the peristaltic feed pump gives precise, adjustable dosing.
