Industrial Essential Oil Distillation — Working Principle
Aromatic plant material is loaded into the distillation kettle and heated by saturated steam. The steam penetrates the material, carrying volatile oils upward into a multi-stage condenser. Rapid cooling produces an oil-water mixture that flows to a gravity-based multi-stage separator. Light essential oil is automatically collected, while aromatic hydrosol is partially refluxed for re-distillation to maximize yield. After distillation, the pneumatic door automatically discharges residue. The entire process operates under sealed negative pressure with no oil volatilization loss, forming a fully automated closed-loop system.
