Essential Oil Distillation Equipment — Working Principle

Aromatic plant material is loaded into the distillation kettle and heated to generate saturated steam. The steam penetrates the material, carrying volatile oils upward into a shell-and-tube condenser. Rapid cooling produces an oil-water mixture that flows to the oil-water separator. Based on density difference, light essential oil is automatically collected while distilled water is recycled back to the kettle for reuse. The entire process uses gentle low-temperature extraction, fully preserving natural aroma and active components.
