Spherical Concentrator — Overview
I. Working Principle
Steam or thermal oil is supplied to the jacket for uniform full-surface heating, while the vacuum pump maintains negative pressure inside the tank to lower the boiling point for low-temperature vacuum evaporation. The liquid forms a gentle rolling circulation within the spherical tank body, maximizing heated surface area and heat exchange efficiency for rapid solvent vaporization. Secondary steam passes through a top-mounted high-efficiency demister to intercept entrained droplets, preventing material loss, then enters the condensation system for cooling and solvent recovery. As solvent continuously evaporates, the liquid concentration progressively increases. The finished concentrate is fully discharged from the lowest arc point at the bottom, leaving minimal residue and maximizing material utilization.
II. Structure & Components
1. Spherical Main Tank Body: Integral arc-shaped spherical structure with zero dead zones and no material accumulation blind spots. Large heat exchange area with uniform heating and smooth material flow, structurally reducing wall scaling and scorching risk.
2. Jacket Heating & Insulation System: Outer sealed jacket heating with insulation layer. Rapid heating, low heat loss, and uniform constant-temperature heating ensures batch-to-batch concentration stability.
3. Top Vapor-Liquid Separation Device: Built-in precision demister to effectively intercept fine droplets, eliminating material entrainment loss and improving extract yield.
4. Condensation Recovery System: Paired shell-and-tube condenser with recovery storage tank. High condensation efficiency with high water and ethanol recovery rates for energy-saving, cost-reducing solvent recycling.
5. Vacuum Negative Pressure System: Dedicated vacuum pump unit stably maintains negative pressure conditions for low-temperature concentration, protecting heat-sensitive active pharmaceutical ingredients from thermal degradation.
6. Manhole & Sight Glass Observation: Quick-opening manhole and explosion-proof sight glass for real-time observation of concentration status inside the tank. Convenient loading and maintenance.
7. CIP Cleaning & Intelligent Control: Pre-configured CIP interfaces for fully automatic cleaning. PLC control system with stable adjustable temperature and vacuum parameters, simple operation and full traceability.
