Centrifugal Spray Dryer — Product Introduction
Spray drying is a widely applied process in liquid formulation and drying industries. It is suitable for producing powdered and granular solid products from solutions, emulsions, suspensions, and paste-like liquid raw materials. When finished product requirements for particle size distribution, residual moisture content, bulk density, and particle shape must meet precise standards, spray drying is the ideal process.
Centrifugal Spray Dryer — Working Principle
Air is filtered and heated, then enters the air distributor at the top of the drying chamber. The hot air spirals uniformly into the drying chamber. The feed liquid passes through a high-speed centrifugal atomizer at the top of the tower, spraying into extremely fine mist droplets. These droplets contact the hot air in co-current flow and are dried into finished product within an extremely short time. The finished product is continuously discharged from the bottom of the drying tower and the cyclone separator, while exhaust gas is vented by the exhaust fan.
Centrifugal Spray Dryer — Performance Features
◎ Fast drying speed: After atomization, the surface area of the feed liquid increases dramatically. In the hot air stream, 95%–98% of moisture evaporates instantly, with complete drying time requiring only a few seconds. Particularly suitable for heat-sensitive materials.
◎ Excellent product uniformity, flowability and solubility. High product purity and quality.
◎ Simplified production process with convenient operation and control. For liquids with moisture content of 40%–60% (up to 90% for special materials), the material can be dried into powder or granular product in a single pass. No crushing or screening is required after drying, reducing production steps and improving product purity. Particle size, bulk density, and moisture content can be adjusted within a certain range by changing operating conditions, making control and management convenient.
