Single Effect Falling Film Evaporator

Falling film evaporators are precision equipment designed for "high efficiency, rapid processing, and low temperature" operations.

Its unique material distribution and film-forming method: The liquid is evenly distributed onto the inner wall of the heating tube at the top, forming a downward-moving turbulent liquid film under the influence of gravity and the drag force of secondary steam inside the tube. During this process, the liquid film is heated by the heating medium (steam) outside the tube and evaporates rapidly. It is a single-pass process with no recirculation. The liquid evaporates completely within the heating tube in a single pass, with an extremely short residence time (typically a few seconds to tens of seconds).

Product Advantage

Extremely high heat transfer efficiency: Due to the extremely thin liquid film (usually less than 1 mm) and high turbulence, the heat transfer coefficient is very high, the evaporation intensity is high, and the equipment size is relatively small.

Extremely short staying time: The liquid stays in the heating zone for an extremely short time (measured in seconds), making it ideal for processing highly heat-sensitive materials (such as fresh juice, vitamins, enzyme preparations, and certain antibiotics), minimizing thermal decomposition losses.

No static pressure head loss, uniform boiling point: Unlike rising film and external circulation, falling film evaporation does not have a high liquid column inside the tube, so the boiling point is basically the same along the length of the tube, resulting in a large effective temperature difference and stable heat transfer driving force.

• It has a wide range of applicable viscosities: It can handle not only low-viscosity materials, but also medium-viscosity materials, because the drag force of the secondary steam helps to transport viscous liquid films.

Not easy to scaling: The high-speed turbulent liquid film has a brushing effect on the pipe wall and there is no local overheating, which can delay scaling process.
